Magic Night
make a wish and pretend
you are in your favorite place.
perhaps it is a vibrant city
with bright life and powerful hope.
there are tall buildings and towers
with brilliant lights.
many hotels that come alive with
the sounds of excited people.
on the rooftops the stars
sparkle overhead.
songs play throughout the night
with ideas of hope and promise.
good things can happen
in the magic night.
letting go of fear for the
emotion of freedom.
some may still feel trapped
but others come alive.
looking out the city vibrates
as the magic night unfolds.
